These are our awesome pics from our most recent furlough with Jed's sister. She came to visit. We went to the beach, then to Disney World, and then back again. What a blast! Our fiascos included the following:
Kisti having someone throw up in her hair after the Dinosaur Ride. Ashton throwing up twice. Me losing my camera. Jens hiding his eyes and face on every ride and then saying it was his absolute favorite! Kisti and I screaming bloody murder on Splash Mountain (if you ride it at night you plunge into a dark abyss at the end. It is SOOO Scary! Totally different from riding it in the day.
Did I mention that they had Star Wars Weekend while we were there? Tons of star wars characters walked around and you could take pics with them. They had a funny star wars variety show, super cool parade, super expensive and nerdy merchandise (which we all came back with) and fun props you can take pics with. That is us in an action figure case. We did not center ourselves well but it is funny! Jed got so giddy... I always thought I was the dire-hard star wars fan but no, the truth came out this weekend. Super fun and super cool. We may just have to go again.
Jed's sister Kisti and her hubby Matt flew home today. We had the funnest visit. Of course we are so tired that we all need two days to recuperate but it sure was fun. The highlight was that Jens was chosen to be a padawan Jedi and he got to fight Darth Vader. Pretty cool! At the same time Uncle Larry K was able to come hang out with us on Monday. We went on an Alligator Tour and ate lunch together. What a fun way to spend our summer break. Jed starts clinic in just a few days! He already has two patients!
