Well, I have not written because we have been camping in the Keys. There is actually a lot to do and see in the keys. There are tons of expensive things to do too. Well, on day one (thursday) we just packed, bought food and then drove down. There are tons of bridges between the islands, they are lovely to drive over. We got a camp site near Fiesta Key and went swimming in the KOA pool. Which was fun. Then we slept in and drove to Key West on Friday. That day we went on a Conch Train Tour, the Shipwreck Museum, and the Key West Aquarium. The tour was really interesting. It pointed out the many people who loved the area and set up animal preserves, and wrote or visited, as well as the industry that made money for the islanders. (salvaging, sponge collecting, naval yards). The rest was pretty good, ok, but not wonderful. We then decided to go back on Saturday so we could do some more museums. So we visited the Pirate Soul Museum which was really interesting and cool. We also went on a glass bottomed boat tour of the reef. I really liked that as well. Sunday we went to a really yummy waffle house in Key Largo and also to the John Pennecamp state park. I thought it was also ok. But not as fun as Key West or other areas. That may be because we did not take the boat tour which is over sunken ships. But we did snorkle and see parrot fish and sunken cannons. Emma loved the beach area and we all got some form of sunburn even though we all used sunscreen.
