Ashton got his helmet today. I thought the process was kinda cool so I took pics this time. Last time we went they laid him down in a machine and scanned his head. They then created a 3-D image and looked at its shape. The top picture shows how one side pouches out and leaves the other side flat. Then they sent to have his helmet made from the scans. Today we went to basically have him fitted. They cut out around his ears more. So there it is. Our helmet boy. He has to wear it all day except for one hour which lets it air out and dry. I'm a little emotional over it right now but there really isn't much choice. Anyway, we'll decorate it and make it cute but there it is. I think he only has to wear it for about 6-8 months.
