Emma has started to really play pretend. Every bunch of trees has dinosaurs and each time Jed and Emma walk home dinosaurs or snakes are chasing them. The other day we decided to go to the library and Emma told me she was taking a pink spotted blanket with her. She then showed me it (of course it was pretend). So I went along. We put the blanket on a table and got some books and went to story time and then went home. All of a sudden I realized we did not go back to the table to get the pretend blanket. I knew I would have to go back even if it was pretend so I thought up a way to trick her just a little bit. So I asked Emma where it was and she started to panic and said we needed to go back and get it. I then said I had it. And I pretended to pull it out of my pocket and gave it to her. I love pretend blankets. Today at church she had a pretend barbie picture that she showed to everyone. Or pretended to show. The confused looks were quite funny. I don't know whether to tell her to only show real pictures or just let her be cute and everyone else will think its odd.
